The plugin upgraded to 3.9.6 and within minutes mysql crashed. Panicing trying to figure everything out.

Apache had about 20,000 requests of

    POST /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?pageid=5348&nonce=379399534d HTTP

All clients were spawning n requests and killing our server, and it seems your plugin was doing it.

    query.js?ver=1.11.3:5 POST xxx/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?pageid=5348&nonce=379399534d 404 (Not Found)send @ jquery.js?ver=1.11.3:5m.extend.ajax @ jquery.js?ver=1.11.3:5m.(anonymous function) @ jquery.js?ver=1.11.3:5(anonymous function) @ spreadplugin.min.js:10

We disabled the plugin, restarted mysql/apache and load returned. I tried to look at the 3.9.6 commit – https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/1267538/wp-spreadplugin but that is hell to process.

Please make smaller commits and test them a bit. This is the 2nd or 3rd time a spreadshirt plugin update has completely crippled our site.

Sorry for sounding rude/abrupt, but you can understand my frustration.

Sure. After reading your “alert” I had an idea and so could remove an outdated part of the script – the auto refresh of the basket – which made the problems. This came up by enabling the basket for all pages and so the basket widget released in 3.9.6.

Please be sure that every commit is tested. In that case I hadn’t the chance to test it with that much visitors.
    Sorry for that!

    Best
    Thimo
