3.4.2 install fail

    Error message is

    Could not copy file.: /home/xxx/public_html/XXX/wp-admin/admin.php

    Installation failed

    However it says it is running 3.4.2 despite the failure advice.

    Layout of the pages is corrupted and I can’t see any page content when I go to edit. This is serious trouble for me…

    Did manual install ..

    Some improvement, the functionality is there now, but the screen display for dashboard – and all admin pages – is distorted, like columns aren’t working – this is weird

    It fixed itself overnight, maybe (but not sure) a browser problem.

    I cleared cache and all good for now.
