2FA fails on every site

    Hi, any idea what’s going on? I have several sites with 2FA enabled, none work right now. Have tried 4 sites now. “ERROR: An error was encountered while trying to authenticate. Please try again.” is what I get.

    Using WF 2FA with Google Authenticator.

    UPDATE:

    Renamed plugin dir on one of the sites, logged in and can’t see anything wrong. 2FA is enabled for my username, and all seems to be in order, yet still can’t login (with 2FA) on any site right now. Weird.

    reCAPTCHA is not enabled in Wordfence, but I do have other reCAPTCHA plugin (login reCAPTCHA by Xrvel) enabled, conflict? Anyways, something weird is happening…

    UPDATE:

    Yes, indeed it was the “Login reCAPTCHA” plugin which messed up the 2FA. Disabled it, 2FA worked again.

    Thanks for letting us know about the conflict. Is the 2FA working on all sites currently with Login reCAPTCHA disabled?

    Hi @wfscott , yes I believe so. Tested two sites and both worked with Login reCAPTCHA disabled. Gonna test more within few days, if you don’t hear from me, they all worked.
