2 Menu Problems (IE 7 issue) & (Function Issue)

I am using a customized “Autumn-leaves” template and am experiencing 2 different issues.

1. In IE7 the hover function does not work. The parent pages function fine, but the children pages do not pull down.

2. In Firefox the pages function correctly, however I am trying to change the alignment of the children pages. When I add a shopping cart, the children pages will run off the page. Is there an easy menu alignment fix?

I am a very beginner at Coding. I can do very basic stuff, if the solution is difficult, I may have to switch templates. If you can provide any help, that would be great! Thank you in advance.
