• Hi everyone!

My website is currently hosted under http://www.deeproot.com.au in both English and French through Polylang (the language is set from content).I do not use Polylang to translate the content but have 1 page for each language that I translate myself.

The pages in French currently appears as http://www.deeproots.com.au/pagename BUT I would like all french pages to be visible only through my french domain name as follow http://www.deeproots.fr/pagename, including showing in Google Search.

Polylang Documentation says: “it is possible to use subdomains (or a different domain per language). All your subdomains (or domains) must point to the same directory (where the WordPress index.php is present). Polylang checks if your domains or subdomains are correctly accessible. Otherwise, Polylang returns an error message. Contact your host provider to get the documentation for the subdomains and domains installation.” (source:https://polylang.pro/doc/url-modifications/#subdomains-name-and-domains)

Is there a trick with DNS pointing, with .httaccess file or do I need to host my french pages on a different host/directory?

Any guidance on how to do this?
    Many thanks
    Hazel Marie

Would my french domain need to be a parked domain?

All good, I created a parked domain under my existing domain. Park domains point to the same website directory. I made sure that the DNS of my domain were pointing to my server like for the primary domain, I put a SSL was in place. And in the Polylang menu, I selected settings – URL modifications – The language is set from different domains – and entered my parked URL.

    Amazing plugin <3
