The updated version locked me out of my multisite admin. The WP front end still loaded in the browser (via cache).

I tried deactivating first and updating.
Upon network activation, I was locked out.
I tried the same thing but this time only activating on one site in the network. I was locked out again.
I did try the FTP method too.

On another site I manage, this one not being a multisite, the updating worked without a hitch.

I reinstalled 1.3.1 on the multisite and changed the version to 1.4.0 so the update bubble won’t show and I’ll be notified when you solve it and publish 1.4.1+.

I really don’t want to deactivate all the other plugins on the site but will if you don’t easily spot the issue based upon the info above.

    Let me know.

    Thanks.

  • I also got locked out of the only subdomain site (on a multisite network) that uses Better WordPress Google XML Sitemaps after upgrading to v1.4.0.

    The error was:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_get_current_user() in /home/user/public_html/domain.com/wp-includes/capabilities.php on line 600

Other threads on the WP support forums suggest that pluggable.php needs to get loaded prior to the plugin … or some such.

I think I have found the culprit, an upgrade script is being run too early for a multisite setup. Will let you guys know.

Same here. I’ll subscribe to this thread so I can get a notify when issue is solved. c:

Thank you, Khang Minh for you good work!

1.4.1 is out, can you guys test it? Thank you for your patience!

I had the plugin folder renamed to disable it, so I renamed it again so it would then be picked up by Plugins.

Upgraded from v1.4.0 to v1.4.1 successfully.

I am now able to access the dashboard of the previously ‘troubled’ subdomain site.

The issue appears resolved, for my site anyway.

Thank you very much for such a speedy fix. Good work!

    Downloading update from https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/bwp-google-xml-sitemaps.1.4.1.zip…

    Unpacking the update…

    Installing the latest version…

Removing the old version of the plugin…

    Plugin updated successfully.

    Plugin reactivated successfully.

I regenerated all of the sitemaps, flushed the cache, emptied all other site caches and browser caches, and checked on different browsers.

I actually discovered that 1.3.1 had been delivering XML Sitemap Index incorrectly and that it is now working correctly in 1.4.1.

Nice work! I’m going to give your plugin 5 stars (if I haven’t already) just as soon as I hit the “Post” button on this reply.
