[event_blocks event=””] Shortcode Bug

    G’day,
    I’ve come across a bug with the [events_block] shortcode. It will only display publicly with the ‘ID’ variable. When ‘Event’ is used it is only visible to Admin users. The table is still created for all users – its just that the content isn’t populated into the table.

    As suggested here for single events (https://support.themeboy.com/article/106-event-blocks-shortcode), the Event version of the shortcode is far more useful. Are you able to suggest a quick fix for this, or add it to the next update?

    We have no reports of other users facing the same issue, so this could be isolated to your install.

    Hi,

    Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

    I’ve just modified the below page to demonstrate the issue. I’ve tried it on a number of test WP sites that I have and the bug appears on them all.

    There are three widgets across the top of this page. The first one is just a custom html box. The middle one is using the Event Blocks widget and the third is calling the [event-blocks event=””] shortcode. I’m not worried about the style – just why the shortcode is restricted to only admins.

    It looks like you are using a custom theme. How it works when you use Rookie or another default theme (such as twenty seventeen)?

    Hi Roch,

    Please see below for a fresh installation of wordpress with the twenty seventeen theme running without any customisation.

    The same bug occurs for the [event_blocks event””] shortcode as mentioned above. Displays for Admin, but is not visible for any other users.
