    Hi Support,

We are having an issue with the date a sermon was preached not being held correctly. Currently if we add a new sermon it goes to the end of our list of sermons as the Date Preached disappears when you publish the sermon.

    Your advice would be appreciated.

    Kind Regards

    James

  • I have the same issue. There is a secondary problem that without a saved date, the sermon does not appear on the podcast feed.

My date format in Sermons > settings > general is dd/mm/YY (the UK standard), but if you switch this format to mm/dd/YY (the default), the sermon date will save correctly. You can switch it back to dd/mm/YY afterwards if you want, and the date is retained, in the correct format.

Once the date is saved, the feed is also showing the latest sermons.

    Hi @adijeff,

It does appear to be an issue with the date format – I was using the UK Standard format as well. I changed the date format and then modified an existing sermon that hadn’t saved the date. This saved the preached date and I also see the date in the correct format on the webpage and sorted in the correct order.

    Thanks

    James

Same issue here, using the ‘Dutch’ language and format.
    Issue appeared after latest update.

    Thanks.
It appears to be a format issue then with anything other than the default format of mm/dd/YY.
Nikola/wpforchurch – could you look into this please.

    Thanks

    James

    Hi,

This issue is fixed in Sermon Manager 2.11.3.
Note: you might need to put the date again.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Hi Nikola,

Many thanks for the update and resolving the issue.

    Best wishes

Yes, I confirm it works. Thanks Nikola.

    Hi friends.

I’m still having a similar problem.
    * Some of our sermons are currently listed with the wrong date. This means they are listed in the wrong order in a series. E.g. the confused order of sermons here: http://www.newcastlechristianstudents.org/series/heirs-of-the-promise/

    * When I edit a sermon, I cannot find an entry for “date preached”.

    * If I edit the “date published” field, it has no effect on the listing on our website. E.g. I have changed the date for the sermon “Trusting God during times of change” to March 8, 2017, but it is still listed on our website as August 3, 2017.

I updated Sermon Manager to Version 2.11.3 today to try and resolve this issue, but it hasn’t helped.

Is there a solution for this? Am I missing something?

    Hi @martinshadwick,

“Date Preached” field should be right under the title and permalink, but if it’s not there, could you please contact me by email?

Thanks Nikola. There is an expandable section “Sermon Details” where you described which has the date preached. I hadn’t noticed thiss before. Thanks for the help.

    Cheers,
    Martin
