• I looked a forum that had 127 comments and at the end it was closed out with no solution, that was 2 months ago. Is there a solution to fixing the following: “Unable to communicate back with site to check for fatal errors, so the PHP change was reverted. You will need to upload your PHP file change by some other means, such as by using SFTP.” I followed many of the steps and even tried YouTube but I still have not been able to change what was once a very easy change. There are so many that is having this issue, and I am not an expert but many stated everything worked fine until the upgrade. If there is not a solution, is there a way to go back to the older version, simply? Thank you for your time. I am in maintenance mode right now but here is my website just in case. Thank you for your time.

Hello Steven I tried to send you the results by copy/paste but the system didn’t seem to like that at all. I have the results but I have no idea what they mean. 🙁

Thanks to both Rajan and Steve. This is awesome service! Ok, @rajanit2000 the error was: “Unable to communicate back with site to check for fatal errors, so the PHP change was reverted. You will need to upload your PHP file change by some other means, such as by using SFTP.”

@sterndata maybe this will work: The first one I tried to copy/past on my own but there is a feature you can use for forums. So, I hope this one reaches you and Rajan.

When the loopback fails, it should offer you the option of disabling all plugins and then figuring out which may be causing the problem.

This is the crux of it:

Result from testing without any plugins active: The loopback request to your site failed, this may prevent WP_Cron from working, along with theme and plugin editors.
Error encountered: (0) cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received

Check with your host to see if they’re disabling loopback connections.
