    Hi

I seem to have a big problem with multiple payments being taken from clients. I have tried testing Stripe using test data and it seems that the following error message is shown when the customer attempts to pay:

    ‘Internal Server Error’

The transaction comes through on Stripe and Woocommerce accepts the order. Our Paypal payments come through fine.

    Please can someone help?

Just wanted to add that the plugin was working fine before I updated to the latest version of this plugin.

I have enabled debugging and have come across this message, after the ‘Pay’ button is pressed.

SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data

    Hi Sam,

This typically indicates that something is interfering with the data sent to Stripe, perhaps a customization or a special checkout field. I would test with a default theme(Storefront or 2017) and with any customization plugins disabled.

As for the Internal Server Error, you can check your server’s error logs for the exact error message as your server will hide the true error message for security reasons.

    Hi @sam012,

Like Thomas said, this may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins except WooCommerce /stripe and switch to the default Twenty Seventeen theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site

    Hey @sam012

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

    Thanks,
