Multivendor plugins compatibility question – WC Vendors

    Hello,

    I’ve posted this question also in the FB support group but I don’t know if it was noticed there so I’m posting here too.

    Multivendor plugins compatibility question here: Is OceanWP compatible with marketplace plugins (WC-Vendors, WcMP, Dokan, YiTH Multivendor, etc.) And if isn’t right now, have you any plans making it compatible?

    Considering I’m planning to use OceanWP for integrating a multivendor solution (I’m particularly interested in WC-Vendors compatiblility), I want to make sure the theme is futureproof suitable for this project.

    The free version of WC-Vendors can be found on WP repository: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wc-vendors/

    Seeing what the guys at https://www.wcvendors.com/themes/ say about themes compatibility, I’ve checked that and OceanWP use an woocommerce.php file which is apparently not recommended as best practice. Any thoughts on this?

    More and more themes are adding this compatibility and I would love to see that OceanWP would too (at this time there are around 40 themes on themeforest compatible with these plugins).

    Basically what I’m asking here is if you have planned WC-vendor plugin hooks integration within the theme in the near future.
    I saw that in version 1.4.3 you’ve added bbPress and BuddyPress compatibility which is a great thing.

    Hello, I have not tested these plugins but in the next release of OceanWP, there is no woocommerce.php file anymore, the theme will be 100% WooCommerce compatible, so logically, you will have no problem with the plugins you mention, and if you have, contact me, I will try to make the theme fully compatible with them.

    Great news! Any ETA on the next OceanpWP release?
    I’ve setup a local test environment with OceanWP theme and WC-Vendors and indeed is a problem with the vendor page (the vendor store page isn’t working).

    Looking forward for the next release. I’ll test again after the update and get back with feedback. Thank you for your fast response.

    Hi,

    I’ve downloaded and installed the unreleased version of OceanWP from github.
    Thank your for your fast support! All is good now, as far as I could test it seems to be ok, the vendor pages works well, the single product page with vendor banner enabled works good too.

    The vendor hooks and filters apparently works good (they appear in the places they’re supposed to). I will keep testing in parallel with other WC-Vendors compatible themes and get back to you if something rises.
