Multiple count of same visitor

    It is said that “Visitors is the number of unique users that have visited your site.” It appears to me that if the same visitor visits my page on one day and the following the count will be 2 and not 1. So “unique” seems to be unique for the current day not for a time range of many days. Is that true?

    Is it possible to count the number of unique visitors for a certain time range? (i.e. only one count for each IP). If not, will this be supported in future versions of WPStatistis? (Including “Top 100 visitors” for a time range and not only for one day)

    I have activated “IP-Adressen anonymisieren” (sorry, I only see the German labels).
    I am using WPStatistics version 12.1.3.

    Hi,

    Visitor: a person who visit your site
    Visit: every visit which all visitors do on our site on any page (Page View)

    Example: a person visits your site in a day and he navigates on 10 links
    The plugin counts 1 visitor and 10 visits for that day
    The plugin count visitors and visits for each day and record those counts

    Is it possible to count the number of unique visitors for a certain time range?

    Yes, Check the “Hit Statistics” page, But it counts 1 count for each IP in every day not for whole range

    Thank you. I just found out that I can count the number of distinct visitors in a certain time range (not per day) using this SQL request:

    SELECT COUNT(DISTINCT ip)
    FROM vTyrWstatistics_visitor
    WHERE last_counter > ‘2017-09-30’;

    I think this should approximately give me the number of persons who visited my site in that time range. Maybe it would be nice to display this kind of information in future versions of WPStatistics.
