Hide Login & Admin functionality does not work

Hi,

I have installed the latest version of iThemes Security (v.6.6.1) in WP 4.8.3 and I see that the hide control panel functionality does not work. It does not get to modify the file .htaccess as they do the rest of functionalities/options.

I have verified that the rest of functionalities if they work correctly and modify the .htaccess file, so for the moment I rule out a server-side failure.
