    Hi

    Since I applied the recent updates, the menu appearance has changed drastically, and I’m see 404s for the following URLs:

    /wp-content/plugins/wp-responsive-menu/js/jquery.sidr.js?ver=d898f8bf2e9170d6439a867e0b29f8

    /wp-content/plugins/wp-responsive-menu/js/jquery.transit.min.js?ver=d898f8bf2e9170d6439a867

    Any solution for this?

    Also, my WPR menu contains a link to a bookmark in the sidebar. The link works ok, but the menu remains visible – it has to be closed manually. The menu closed automatically prior to the latest updates.

    Help please

    Regards

    Hello There,

    We basically updated the complete plugin so the look and feel has been updated.
    Regarding 404 issue you have mentioned, I think it’s a caching issue of your site because we are not using those files anymore. So, try to clear your cache and it should work fine.

    Regarding your link to bookmark thing, I am not sure what you meant. Can you share your website url and I can check this?

    Hi

    Thanks for the quick response.
    The URL is: https://creativenumerology.com
    The link is towards the top of the menu “Subscribe to my newsletter”

    Thanks and regards

    I checked your site and understand what you are saying. Actually on the new version it doesn’t autoclose after the selection. We will add this feature in next update. For now you can add this js to your site and it should work.

    jQuery('.menu-item-2999').click(function(){
    jQuery('#wprmenu_bar').click()
    });

    Thanks again, but where should I insert that code?

    It’s a shame you decided to make such drastic changes. The plugin worked and looked fine as it was before the updates, and was the best mobile menu out there. Maybe the old adage “If it’s not broken, don’t fix it” should have been applied. Just my opinion.

    Hello @terryheff-1,

    You can insert that code to any js file and if you are not familiar with code at all then I will suggest you to

    I understand your concerns we will gradually keep adding more features to the plugin. I understand the old plugin was working pretty well and we are working on making this version work even better than what you had earlier.

    We are just in the process of making things better for you.

    ok – I was about to add the above code snippet to /wp-content/plugins/wp-responsive-menu/js/wprmenu.js via FTP, but when I try to open the file I get the following error

    Please advise

    @terryheff-1,

    Were you trying to do it from wordpress admin?

    Seems like your host doesn’t allow to do that from the admin. I will suggest to do it form the FTP or file manager from Cpanel.

    Hi @sagarseth9

    I was using FTP when I got the error. I have now downloaded the file, added the snippet after the function in that file, and uploaded the amended file. Unfortunately, it made no difference to the menu item.

    By the way, I’m still seeing many 404s, even after clearing the website cache?

    Hi Sagar

    I have updated to v3.0.3. Unfortunately, the menu behaviour hasn’t changed. In the circumstances I mentioned, it still has to be closed manually. There are lot less 404s, but still seeing the occasional error.

    Thanks and regards

    Just reviewed your site and it seems to be working perfectly fine for me. I think the problem is that the site is cached on your browser.

    Just clear your browser cache and it should be working fine.

    Silly me. Yes, you are quite right. It’s working now.

    Thanks for all your help
