Hi
In xeroom you have to give the sales tax account name eg 20% (VAT on Income). This cannot be any old account from xero as they all have different types and for xero to handle the sales tax you have to use one of the tax rates defined. CAPEX is not a sales tax account and account code 200 is sales so it is confused by what you are telling it.
Pete
Thanks for the quick reply Pete. I had put “10% (GST on Income)” in this field in the settings as our GST is 10%, and the name of the selection I make in an invoice is “GST on Income”. But it still gives me that error. My actual GST account in the Chart of Accounts in Xero is called “GST” – so perhaps I just use this?

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.
