login redirecting from dev site

Hoping this is just a simple setting or something I don’t know about… We downloaded our website to our dev environment, and made a few changes. One was installing WordPress Security by CleanTalk. Set it up, made other edits, then pushed back live. When I realized CleanTalk was set to our dev site instead of live site.. (dev.website.com instead of website.com) I changed that in the CleanTalk admin.
But, now that I’m back in the dev site wanting to do some testing, I can’t log in. Any time I try, it redirects me to the live site. How do I set it up so that I can still log into the dev site, without having to change settings/uninstall/reinstall stuff every time I push to production?
EDIT: I should add… maybe this is an issue with having the free version. but It forces me to change the domain back and forth. I can’t log into the dev version of site to simply turn off the plugin. I was hoping I could do that, and simply turn it on after pushing back to the live site, so that i’m able to use it on the one live site
