    Hello,
I´m new to wordpress and awesome support.
I installed wordpress on my hostgator website via their 5 minute automatic instalation.
After that i installed Awesome support, and it installed with no errors.
But i cant get it to work, it simply dont show the menu for awesome support, and when i try to create a user (support agent) it shows this error:
Awesome Support requires PHP version 3.8 or above.

On wordpress website, the requirements for version 4.7.5 is PHP 7.0 or above.
    What can be wrong?

    Hi:

Sorry, that error is misleading. The min php version for Awesome Support is 5.6 and the minimum WordPress version is 4.0.

I suspect the issue is the PHP version.

Hope this points you in the right direction.

    Hello:

I’m not sure why you posted that article link since it doesn’t provide us with any information that we can use to help you with your issue.

Please confirm what version of PHP and WordPress you’re running. If all hostgator is going to do is give you an article link instead of providing a direct answer you might want to consider a different host.

You need PHP 5.6 and WordPress 4.0 at least. Any version higher than those will work as well.

    Thanks.

    Hello Again,

Our apologies if our last response was not helpful. To clarify, our customers actually have many different versions of PHP available for use, so the article was intended to show how a user can change which version of PHP the account is using. More specifically, here is the link on making sure the version is changed to what is needed : http://support.hostgator.com/articles/php-configuration-plugin

If you continue to have issues, please feel free to post the domain name here, or send us an email to feedback@hostgator.com and we’ll be glad to provide more direct assistance.

    Hi:

Why are you posting the form letters from your hosting company in this thread? It doesn’t provide any helpful information and clutters up the thread.

What version of PHP and WordPress are you running?

    Thanks.

I contacted Hostgator yesterday, and as @gatoralanw pointed out, they have diferent versions of php and wordpress running.
Took me 3 minutes with support to get a update on my server and everything is running.
    Thanks for the support!!!

    @trukebr:

Thanks for the update. I have to admit I was a little confused with some of the replies on this thread. I now realize that it was HostGator replying directly to the thread and not another regular user. I kept wondering why we were getting form letter replies when there was nothing we could do with it since we were’t accessing your WordPress installation directly.

Anyway, glad you got it figured out.
