Hello,Before the last update, when one of my clients was registering on my platform, it automatically had the role of pending. Then when he confirmed his inscription by mail, he had the role of suscriber. After that it was easy for me to change and modify his role and authorization. Now it is impossible for me to change roles, when customers register, they fall directly either employer or candidate and I can not change manually because when I make the change, it takes time and ends up giving me either the Page 404 or internal error 500.Can you help me please ?

Hi @thiantpro,
Thank you for using Paid Memberships Pro.
By default PMPro sets the user to a subscriber.
Would you mind telling me what plugins or custom code you are running that may alter or create custom roles in WordPress?
I apologize for the inconvenience caused.
Hi Andrew
Thanks for your quick respons
I have a Job portal network site (like Linkedin)
I use Boss 2.0 theme with buddypress, wp job manager and pmpro
I use buddypress job manager (for adapting buddypress with wp job manager) and
pmpro role (for adapting role member of pmpro and role member of buddypress)I have too aam (for manage capabality role)
I can send you admin access by mail for take a look.
Thank you for the feedback.
If you would like a support engineer to take a look at your site via admin/FTP access, please can you post on http://www.paidmembershipspro.com (under the member forum). Unfortunately our free support does not cover logging in and debugging.
My suggestion would be to temporarily disable all plugins except PMPro and see if the issue persists.
If the issue disappears, then there is a plugin conflicting with PMPro functionality. You then can activate the deactivated plugins one at a time and checking to see if the issue comes back, when the issue does come back the conflict will be with the last activated plugin and then we can help you investigate as to why it’s causing this issue.
Hi Andrew, thanks for information
Before the bug, user role wordpress, user role buddypress and user role pmp was synchronize but now user role pmp not synchronize.
Any idea why?
You are most welcome – we will need to investigate as to why it’s not synchronizing anymore.
Did the issue only occur after updating?
Thanks for your help, I have identified other problems:
When a customer registers, there is no sign-up success message, it is indefinitely redirected to the same registration page. In addition he does not receive the activation mail to validate his registration. I activate it manually and it has no assigned role. When I change the role for a standard wordpress role, it works without problem but when I try to change to a role created by a pluggin or by me, this makes an error message, this redirects to page 404 (redirect To my Blog page).
Another big problem found, my users no longer have access to their profile, when it clicks on the profile tab, this gives a page 404 not found as well
All this after the Update pmpro
Here the respons of the developper of one of pluggin :
“However, since the register page appears to be controlled by your membership plugin, this isn’t something we can help with, as the issue is not present in WP Job Manager itself”
Thank you
@thiantpro, I apologize for the delay with this.
Usually a 404 error could require you to reset your permalinks. To reset permalinks you are able to go to ‘Settings’ > ‘Permalinks’ in your WordPress dashboard and click save. This should hopefull resolve the 404 issue.
I would also suggest in checking that your Page Settings inside Paid Memberships Pro is set up correctly with the required shortcodes for the confirmation page and so on. To get to your PMPro Page settings, you are able to go to ‘Memberships’ > ‘Page Settings’
These issues seem rather serious and I would advise in looking to receive help from the member forums on Paid Memberships Pro – where a support engineer will be able to login to your site and troubleshoot further (www.paidmembershipspro.com).
Hi Andrew
For the first two points, I had already done all the checks.
I am waiting for your news regarding the support pmpro.
A big thank you for your help
Hi Andrew,
I finally found and fixed the problem
thanks a lot for your help
Take Care
You’re most welcome @thiantpro.
Was the issue relating to PMPro?
If so, I’d like to know about it so we may fix it for future releases.

Hi Andrew, it was an error with pmpro user and buddypress member type, both need to have the same user ID and user name so need synchronize user ID of wordpress, buddypress member type and pmpro with custum code with pmpro role.
Thank you so much for the clarification @thiantpro, and thank you for the review. We truly appreciate it.
