    Hi,

I need some help. Days ago I installed SSL certificate on my site. I also force SSL admin to solve some login problems.
All is working fine except 1 thing: in my backend, I can’t see the uploaded featured image, the preview is not loading. Then when I publish the post is all ok.

What is the problem? How can I fix it?

Change your site to be “all SSL all the time.”

Use the plugin “better search and replace”. Search for http://example.com and replace with https://example.com

I agree with Steve, sounds like you need to find and replace all the instances.

Thank you for the advice but my instances seems all ok (https). I’m going to check better.

Sorry but I am new with SSL and I can’t understand the connection between the urls instances and the featured image display in backend. Can you explain?

    Thank you very very much!

The URL for the featured image is stored with an http:// URL if yo set it while the site was in non-SSL mode, so you need to update those stored URLs with the plugin I mentioned above.

Thank you very much for the explanation.

Now my site is ok. I think Better Search Replace is a great plugin but at the end I preferred another solution because I think it’s too dangerous for my very big site launch the automation.

SSL Insecure Content Fixer plugin fixed my problem.

    Kind regards
