Markdown stopped working

Sometime between last night and this morning, Markdown stopped working.

I tried disconnecting and reconnecting Jetpack, then deactivating and reactivating Markdown, and it worked for an hour or so and then stopped working again.

Pretty sure I have not changed my WordPress configuration since yesterday. No updates to plugins, no updates to WordPress, no changes to the theme.
