Hey @vetterules, i assume you are making the distinction between sermons and studies as separate series or service types? If you don’t separate them out and then output them differently via a shortcode, then you will get one showing up in the other.
You can see the shortcode examples here https://www.wpforchurch.com/knowledgebase/sermon-manager-shortcodes/.
If you create 2 service types, one called ‘sermons’ and the other ‘bible studies’ then you can show separate things on the website. With saying that, those two different views are filtered views of the whole sermons output so it’s not the ideal solution for what you are trying to do.
gospelpowered.com is actually in the process of becoming the new owner of wpforchurch.com so there will be a lot of updates and changes coming over the next few weeks.
We’ve just built a WordPress plugin specifically for Bible Studies, so it might be something to consider, then you can keep sermons separate to bible studies.
We will make that plugin available via wpforchurch.com in the next 1-2 weeks anyway.
Thanks for the update.
If you’ll have the Bible Studies plugin avaiable, is ready for upload? If not can I be part of the testing?
Thanks
Yvette
Hi @vetterules,
Yeah it would be great to have you test it out for sure. Would you mind sending an email to hello@wpforchurch.com and we can send you a copy that way?
We’re launching a new WP for Church website this week and a ton of other things, so the Studies plugin will only be officially released next week at this stage.
Thanks,
Igor
