Hello mtdwilson,
I tested your site and there is problem that on front end logged in user is not recognized as logged in – that is why they see all the time the buy button.
I tested this on my installation and I’m not able to replicate.
Please try with only CoursePress and MarketPress plugins enabled and see if then user will be able to login correctly and gain access to course.
If yes, then start enabling other plugins one after another and see when things breaks again.
Let me know how it goes.
kind regards,
Kasia
Hi Kasia, Thanks for the reply.
I’ve tried deactivating all the plugins except CoursePress and Marketplace and then signing up again. It has allowed me to create an account but when I try to enrol it asks me to sign in again. Every time I sign in and then try to enrol it brings up the login box again. I can’t get to buy the course or get any farther.
Regards
Mark

hello Mark,
That’s very strange. Do you have any mu-plugins? Can you check if you disable all the plugins (also MarketPress and CoursePress) and then see if you can login and stay logged in while on front-end?
Let me know also what PHP version you have.
kind regards,
Kasia
Hi Kasia
Every time I get one thing working another fails. I installed the latest version of coursepress (2.0.3) hoping this would cure our problems. Now we have a course which, once you create an account or login, is given to you without charge. no “buy” button comes up and you get full access!
At my whits end with this, was it you that signed up before? would it help if I changed you access to admin so you can have a look around? I’ll do that now on the assumption it was and to save some time.

Mark
Hello mtdwilson,
Sadly π version 2.0.3 introduced another bug – I just replicated on my installation that payments are not working and I get access to course.
But developers are already working on that issue so we should see new update with fix.
But if you get access to course it means that user is logged in – so in some way it looks like previous issue was fixed.
Right now it looks that we have to wait for new version that will have fix for last bug.
kind regards,
Kasia
Sadly every version brings a new bug. CoursePress is full of bugs. You need to start testing these releases before you publish them.
Hi Kasia, Thanks for your reply. Any idea when we can expect the update?
Regards
Mark
Hello Mark,
I hope you are doing well!
However as much as I would love to, we don’t do ETA’s because of the kinks that can come up after testing and we want to avoid disappointment.
I’ll ping a developer about this, and if the hotfix will be out before the update, I’ll update this thread π
Kind Regards,
Nastia
Hi Nastia, thanks for the reply. That would be great thanks

Hi Mark,
Adding this file to your /wp-content/plugins/coursepress/2.0/include/coursepress/data/ folder should take care of this issue until 2.0.4 is released.
Cheers,
Predrag
Thanks Predrag, I still have to refresh the page before I get the buy option otherwise it just goes in circles asking me to sign in but at least the course isn’t being given away.

Mark
Hi Mark,
Can you please update to 2.0.3.1 and see if the issue is still there for you after that?
Cheers,
Predrag
Hi Predrag, ok update installed. Buy button still not appearing until I refresh the page and now no emails going out when I register.
Regards Mark
Hi Mark,
Could you grab a screencast of the behaviour when buy button doesn’t show because I’m unable to replicate this on my installation?
As for the emails, are your default emails going out, for example if you create new user from admin section and select the option to send it to his email?
Cheers,
Predrag
