Plugin Capability

This is one of the best plugins I use, however I have a small problem I use Media Category Library to handle PDF documents on my site. When I edit a PDF Post Expirator comes up as an editing option, however when I use it nothing changes in the PDF (E.G. replaceing category with another) Is there something I can do to get this working as it would be a great function.
