• Hello,

    just four questions, please:

    1. Can I create a specific private folder (with sub-folders) for each user?

    2. Can users upload files in their specific folders/areas?

    3. Can I set a directory base for my client (he will get “editor” role), so he can’t browser in the system files?

For example, I’ll create a folder in wp-content/uploads called “customer-area”, so an editor (my client) can see only this folder and its sub-folders.
The subfolders will be a folder (with sub-folders) for each user (his client).
Example: wp-content/uploads/customer-area/folder-of-user-01/2016… So in this case the editor can edit all folders from “customer-area”, and an user (id 01) can edit only him “folder-of-user-01” and subfolders “2016”, etc…

    4. Can an user edit his folder from backend? There is a demo, please?

    I hope it’s clair… 🙂

    Many many thanks!

    1. It will be private to a user/member and admins.

    2. Yes.

    3. The files will be on the server, so anyone with server access can access the files. An admin or group admin can see the files, but they are not included in the WP Media Gallery in the WordPress dashboard on upload as they are stored in a separate folder. So this shouldn’t be a problem with the above understandings.

    4. No, this is a front end capability in BuddyPress.
