Poor support, buggy

The concept is great, and the workflow is far easier than with any other online documentation plugin for WordPress even with a lack of autosave on arrangement edits. Unfortunately that’s where the good stuff ends.

This plugin is simply buggy. The Layouts conflict with popular themes such as X causing catastrophic problems (layouts that you can’t scroll and that slide off screen). Add too many subtopics and it eventually crashes and freezes up, you will not be able to modify any area of the existing documentation. If you approach their support they will maybe respond at first if you’re lucky, but then after a while communication goes dark and you’re left with a non-functioning plugin with obfuscated code that you can’t hope to fix yourself.

Finally if you get so frustrated you want to remove the documentation and Documentor it leaves a trail of mess in it’s wake, from posts in the database to files.

It’s a shame as with a little more care this could be a wonderful addition to WordPress and a great way to create and maintain online manuals, but as it stands I just can’t recommend it.
