Hi Rob,
I’m the developer of Strong Testimonials and I thought I should jump in here.
My plugin does not run all filters assigned to the content which is why the shortcodes are not being processed. The primary reason for that is to be compatible with NextGEN Gallery but also other plugins that add things like share buttons to every post which carries over to testimonials unfortunately.
So I will find a way to address this in my plugin.
Chris
Rob, please update Strong Testimonials to version 2.11.5 and let me know how that works for you.

Hi Chris,
Thanks so much for jumping in!
I’ve updated the plugin to 2.11.7, which was the one available and it seems to have fixed the issue!
Really appreciate the quick response.
Many thanks

Ah sorry almost fixed.
The [glossary_exclude] no longer shows but their function of disabling the tooltips inside the wrapped content is not working.
We would like the tooltips to be disabled in CM Tooltip Glossary posts.
Any way of doing this, without the shortcode showing?
Thanks
Rob
I’m still learning that plugin. Is that the “Show tooltip when the user hovers over the term” setting on the Tooltip tab? If so, with that unchecked, I don’t get a tooltip in testimonials or posts.

Thanks for the very prompt response Chris!
Yes that’s right. However we want tooltips throughout the website, except in specific areas, which we have wrapped with the plugin’s [glossary_exclude] shortcode.
We have wrapped strong testimonial posts with this shortcode but the tooltips are still showing. Previously tooltips were not showing but the shortcode itself was being displayed.
Any help be much appreciated.
Thanks
Rob
If I understand correctly, it sounds like you need a global setting to exclude testimonials (and maybe other post types) from tooltipping.
Are you wrapping the individual testimonial post content with [glossary_exclude]? That works for me.
Or are you wrapping the [testimonial_view] shortcode with [glossary_exclude]? That won’t work.

Thanks Chris, I’m wrapping the testimonial post content with the shortcode.
The shortcode no longer is displayed on the website but the tooltip still appears.
I’m using the latest versions of both plugins.
Thanks
Just a hunch, try clearing your browser cache. If you’re using site caching via plugin or web host, clear those too.
Where is the [testimonial_view] shortcode? In a page or sidebar widget or a page builder element? If you can post a link to the site or send it to chris at wpmission.com, I can look for clues.

Thanks Chris, I’ve cleared the cache but it’s still showing the tooltip.
The shortcode is placed on a standard WP page. I will email you the link.
Many thanks
