• Hey,

Sooo, I get that message as shown in the title

“stickThis.js?ver=2.0.1:10 Uncaught TypeError: $(…).stickThis is not a function”

I saw the other topic with this exact problem here.

But I tried, as you suggested, to disable all other plugins – to no avail.

I have previously used the myStickyMenu but it has an unfortunate sideeffect of deforming my site slightly when the sticky “snaps”, and I was sort of hoping this one would work. (also, you seem to actually provide support, so that’s a big plus :P)

    Hoping for a reply soon!
    Cheers 🙂

  • Hi, thanks for trying my plugin!

It’s hard to tell what the issue could be, without seeing your site. Any chance you can share a link?

    Thanks! 🙂

    Of course, my bad!

I have enabled your plugin 🙂

    EDIT:
Although it is probably goes without saying – the menu that I want to stick is the header right below the logo.

This issue is always tricky to figure out….

I do see some Javascript errors related to the Ad rotation plugin — it’s possible that those errors block the my plugin from functioning properly. If it’s possible to deactivate that one, just to see if it makes a difference, please give that a try.

If not, can you put my plugin into Debug Mode (it’s an option in the plugin settings), this will give me a better handle on trying to figure out what the cause might be.

    Ad rotate: off!
    Debug Mode: on 🙂

Apologies for my silence. I have been looking into this, but I’m sorry to say I haven’t been able to figure out why this error message appears!

I’m sure it’s something simple that I’m missing. Usually it’s a conflict with other plugins that causes this, but I don’t see any other error messages, even after disabling the ad rotation plugin. It’s worth trying to deactivate all of them though, just to see if it makes a difference.

Other times, it’s because of an older version of the jQuery library, but yours is up to date so that’s not likely to be the case either.

One other thing you should try: if you activate any other theme, such as any of the default WordPress ones, does it still give you the error message?
