    More than likely spambots that were not excluded, you can tune your exclusion settings to try and capture more of them on the Statistics->Settings->Exclusions page.

    You don’t have to, it’s your choice.

    These kinds of spikes happen once in a while so if it’s a one off you can just ignore it.

    Hi…I’ve checked my exclusions and all seems ok. however, on a daily basis i get about 2,ooo hits per article. last few days, only 5 or 6 hits show or 0. at first i thought people weren’t reading, but this isn’t the case, I see articles shared..any other ideas how to fix this problem? tnx

    @dijanam83 please don’t tag on to other people’s closed threads, open a new one instead for new questions.

    Having said that, did you enable exclusion tracking as per above?
