Stats and permalink structure change

    Hi,

    I use the Jetpack stats_get_csv to get the number of post visits. Would my stats get ruined if I change the permalink structure (from /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/ to only use /%postname%/)? I retrieve the stats from 6 months back and cache them. Thanks for any help on this!

    Changing your permalink structure won’t have any impact on Jetpack’s stats as we use the numeric post ID to track views and visits.

    However, keep in mind that other things like sharing counts and links to your posts that are outside of your site may be affected as they depend on the exact URL at the time the post was shared.
