Changing URL – site stats

I made the mistake of connecting jetpack site stats to the development site. Today I have changed the URL … I am not certain how to fix the site stats. I tried deleting jetpack plugin and reinstalling. I then connected to my WordPress.com account – the stats show the history during the development period. I am not concerned with the prior stats – but I want to be certain that the stats presented to my customer will be accurate for for the correct URL in the future. Any advice you can share will be appreciated.
