The /rsvpmaker/ part of the path to an event is necessary to specify as a unique identifier for the custom post type RSVPMaker uses for events. I don’t have a way for you to change that.

You can embed an events listing in any page using the [rsvpmaker_upcoming] shortcode (click the calendar icon in the WordPress rich text editor for a popup editor that provides access to all the shortcode options). Typically, you would choose one page to be your main event listing page. You could also have a page that lists just events in a certain category.
