Cant connect jetpack to wordpress

Up until an hour ago i have been using jetpack for some weeks, configured with my social media profiles, my posts were being published… or so i thought, I checked my Linkedin profile today and found that none of my posts have been posted to Linkedin, I checked Jetpack and it said i was connected as it has said for weeks but there are NO posts on Linkedin, I searched google for an answer and saw a post on here that suggested to unlink linkedin from the jetpack and relink it, so i unlinked it but couldnt get it to link up again, i kept getting a message saying “whoops something happened that should not have happened, try again” and i kept getting the same message, I then read thet disconnecting from wordpress.com and reconnecting again may work, so i disconnected from wordpress and now i cant reconnect, I can not find ANY link in my wordpress site (which is not hosted on wordpress.com) in order to reconnect and now my site is vulerable and i cant find anyway to fix it. I have tried to make a new profile on wordpress but it was a webdesigner that i no longer have contact with who set up the account in the first place and i actually cannot work out how to create an account that is not hosted with wordpress.com and link my own wordpress site to it, like it was before.

Really really need some assistance please
