    Thanks for the feedback!

    This was suggested by a few other Jetpack users in the past. We’ll definitely consider adding the option if this request becomes popular.

    If so, I’ll post again here to let you know about our progress.

    Is there any way to do this with a function?
    Just open the image with lightbox the carousel?

    I’m afraid that won’t be possible, as the Carousel feature is hooked to the gallery shortcode, and all the Carousel elements are added to each Gallery image. You’d have to rewrite the whole module to apply it to single images as well.
