Hi,
It seems, that your theme doesn’t have a comments.php template, which our plugin uses to render default comments. We will see if an alternative can be used for this, in upcoming releases.
I appreciate that. In the meantime, I asked my theme’s support about this. I’ll let you know what they say.
They reply quickly, and I’ll mark this thread as resolved if the solution is not something relating to my theme, in which I could post a link to the support thread where others could resolve the same issue/get an explanation. I don’t think you should have an unresolved support thread for what amounts in my mind to a feature request. (I’ll just open another one and reference this thread if a related issue comes up.)
Sure. Let us know if you have any update.
So, I didn’t check to actually see if X has a comments.php, but it does. Here’s the thread in case something else gets posted there. https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/error-when-using-heateor-social-comments-plugin-super-socializer/#post-816675
It’d be grand if you could explore better compatibility with X.
Cheers!
Okay. We will dig deeper into this.
BTW, does that error appear even when our plugin is not active and default comment form is enabled at your website?
No. And X theme has a comments.php.
Okay, thanks for the info.
Just to confirm, i’m also having issue with SS Vs X Theme
oldtimesfilm.com
People can register, but can’t login. And it messes up the widgets area too.
HELP!!!
Hi @jayskibob,
As you can see, when user registers (first Social Login) using Social Login, they are redirected to http://oldtimesfilm.com/thank-you-for-registering/ page and are not logged in (same as in the case of subsequent Social Logins).
You would like to check if you have disabled login to your website (using some other plugin/functionality) OR try deactivating existing plugins one-by-one to check if any of them is interfering with Social Login functionality.
Looks like it was a plugin conflict with “Login with Email or Username”
Thanks
Jay
