• Hello,

Installed the plugin MaxButtons, and under settings I left selected the level of access as an administrator. With that all other users (Subscribers, Authors, Publishers …) has no access to the editions of the plugin. But for them the MaxButtons button at the top of the page, where they can select the buttons that were created.
If I as an administrator, select to hide the button from the top of the text edit box will no longer appear for any user, however, does not appear to me (Administrator).

So, users who are not administrators, besides not having access to the editions of the plugin, I don’t have access to the button of the plugin, that is, hide for users who are not Admins?

If you don’t have like, so is a suggestion for an update of this type. That is, in addition to being able to select the level of access editions of plugin, could also have to select the level of access to the plugin that allows you to insert the buttons ever created, because there may be buttons created by adminisrador where should not be placed on any post, and as all users have access, anyone could enter buttons on any post.

It could also be a way to choose specific users will be shown the plugin at the top of the text box.

    Hi,

The intended use is that indeed not all users can create or edit the button, but the plugin doesn’t limit the usage of the button in the post edit screens.

You can indeed turn off the ‘add buttons’ button in the post editor, but this goes for everybody. You can still use shortcodes however in this case. They are listed in the button overview. So this could be a work around.

It would be very difficult to limit users to not be able to put shortcodes in their posts. Do you use any plugins to restrict users what kind of content they can add?

Also I imagine that people would expect this function to only hide the button edit option but still let their authors use the buttons. I agree the function is a bit limited though. Thanks for the feedback!
