This relates back to the question / limit of 25 sites per Google Login

Rather than using the built in IDs / links to google – can the plugin be configured where I put in my own OAuth 2.0 Client ID / Secret

I realize that this would require me to put in URL and redirect URL for each site, but it should get around the 25 site limit (I would assume)

Please let me know your thoughts

  • No, it won’t. The tokens are issued and counted per Google account. No matter how many projects you’ll use, you will still reach that limit as long as you authorize the plugin using the same account.

    Maybe I’m confused then….

When using the OAuth 2.0 Client ID / Secret (NOT What you currently have coded) and the redirect URL and I click authenticate – it just asks me if I allow the access – I don’t need to get an authcode to paste in or anything

A token is always exchanged, depending on application type and language it can happen in background or require a user action.
