inked blog widget full text
-
Is there a method to show the full-text instead of just an excerpt? I tried setting the excerpt character number to an absurd value but it still cuts off at the first break. Ideally I’d like to do this on one instance of the widget while retaining the short excerpt in another instance.

In addition, can the body text be linked to the full text article?
Hi bremnerr,
I am planning to release an update over the coming weekend. I will include an option to display the Full Text instead of the excerpt.
In your second question. Does ‘body text’ mean excerpt?
That’s great! I’m looking forward to the update!
Yes, my apologies I meant excerpt. Much like clicking the title would do. Or perhaps providing a “Read Full Article” link underneath the excerpt would be more explicit for site visitors to understand.
Hey Adi, just following up to see how progress is coming on the full text option. Cheers!
Hi.
I have added all the options you would like. There are a few more changes I have to make to the plugin. Will definitely upload an update tomorrow.
Sorry for the wait.
I think I have to hook-in to this conversion, currently I am using this plugin as well and I am struggling whit adding a read more link. It would be really nice to have this or have the possibility to make the compleet post one link.
Next to that I thought I saw a bug in the background image, It was repeating it self altho this was not set.
Thanks you so much so far!
I have added options for excerpt as a link, button and option to use the full post content.
@FPaulides
I have made some changes to the background image. Just let me know if it is still giving problems.
Cheers
After update page now throws error:

Removing the blog widget from the page and recreating it cleared the error. Thank you very much for the added features!
The only issues I see now are that some of the widget settings are unclear or not functioning properly. For example, I have the Show Format Icon setting unchecked and instead of hiding icons altogether it sets all Format Icons to the Standard icon. Is this the expected behavior?
Also, setting the Text Distance from the Left setting has no effect on bulleted text, everything else shifts to the right just fine but bulleted text remains on the left margin.
Lastly, the some of the settings are unclear as to their function. For example the Text-Align drop-down at the very bottom is underneath the settings for the byline settings leading one to believe that it would adjust the alignment for the byline, but surprise!, it adjusts the alignment for the entire article.
Also, perhaps the terminology Button Highlight Color should be Button Hover Color to avoid confusion.
Just may two cents, I appreciate the work you have done, just wanted to provide some helpful feedback.
Cheers!
Thanks for all the valuable feedback. I have implemented most of your suggestions and have added documentation for you to have a look at.
The only issue I could not address was the error with the bulleted text. Will fix that issue in the next update.
Thank you for the update. I can now hide the Format Icon but the setting for Text distance from left seems to be ignored. Here is an example:
http://floridatsa.com/2016stateconference/updates/
I do have custom CSS negative margins applied to the blog entry titles but then set Text distance from left to 60px to compensate. As you can see in the example the 60px is being ignored.
Thank you for our time and effort in maintaining this plugin.
Really sorry for the late reply.
I see the issue. I will have it correcting it in the next update.
Thanks for pointing it out.
