This issue seems to be Yoast related. Try updating to 3.0.1 and then clearing your browser cache several times.
We tried that earlier, and just tried again. The problem persists all the while WordFence is activated…
It definitely sounds like a Yoast SEO bug as nothing has changed in Wordfence
Have you tried updating to v.3.0.1 and clearing the cache?
If that doesn’t help then consider rolling back to the previous plugin version 2.3.5 to get your functionality back, and then file a bug report with Yoast in github or the support forum
@barnez: Thanks for helping out! I saw a couple other plugins had conflicts caused by Yoast’s new version in the link you mentioned, too.
@roothost: If installing Yoast SEO’s second update still didn’t help, can you see if there are any error messages in your site’s error log, or messages in the JavaScript console of your browser? (If you’re not familiar with the console, we have basic instructions here.) We haven’t had any changes to Wordfence lately, so if you can also post on the Yoast SEO support forum too, it might be another issue that they have not seen yet.

I am also noticing a conflict with Wordfence and Yoast, after installing the updates today.
I just had a discussion with Yoast support and she suggested that I try to clear the Wordfence cache. I’m not using the Wordfence cache option on the Performance Setup tab, but I tried it anyway. I got an error message: “A total of 1 errors occurred while trying to clear your cache. The last error was: Could not create a lock file /home2/whatkin1/public_html/cleavermagazine/wp-content/wfcache/clear.lock to clear the cache.”:
But when I reloaded the WP dashboard, the Yoast error message, that my site could not be indexed by search engines, disappeared.
@elirnerak: The error about the lock file most likely means that your web server doesn’t have write permissions on the wfcache folder — if you’re not using the cache, this shouldn’t have an effect though. If you’re still having trouble with the two plugins, can you create a separate post here, and also follow up with Yoast’s support? (Creating a separate post will help the original person’s issue separate, in case they are not the same problem, and the WordPress.org forum rules ask us to work that way.) Thanks!
