Just to make sure. You have activated SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle and used Jetpack’s Custom Content Types to build your Portfolio.
Yeah, I did so — but i have to move all my Content from posts to portfolio for it? Just to make sure a understand it right. And it seems that i can’t use “Origin SiteBuilder” on my Portfolio Projects, right? 🙁
Yes. The Portfolio Widget works only with portfolio.
You can use “Origin SiteBuilder” for your Portfolio Projects. Go to Settings -> Page Builder and make sure Projects is checked.
Also, I will be putting up docs for all the widgets over the weekend. Hopefully, that will make things more clear.
Ah, now i got it! — Thank you very much!
So sorry, but it seems that it still does not work:
1) I activated „Jetpack Portfolio“
2) I enabled SiteBuilder for my Portfolio Projects
3) I moved my Projects to the new Content Type
4) I embedded your Widget and created an post query (4 Posts)
I just can’t find the mistake …
Hi.
I have made a rough tutorial to set up the portfolio post type. Setting up the Portfolio.
Just let me know if this helps solve the problem.
Cheers
Hi,
Can I use some other plugin to create Post Types and work fine with your widget portfolio?
I don’ t want to install Jetpack.
Thanks!
Hi Dani,
For the widget you have to use Jetpack’s portfolio. It is for the sake of consistency.
You can install Jetpack and only activate the Post Types module.
Let me know if you have any other issues.
