Thanks for reaching out @kozmicat72. We’re happy to try and help. A couple of quick questions:
- What theme are you using for your website and has it been adjusted at all?
- Have the volunteer opportunity templates for the plugin been copied into your theme and adjusted at all?
Once we have a little more information we should be able to help.
Thanks.
Jonathan
thank you for your response!
My theme is Twenty Fourteen. Wp version 4.3.1
The only adjustment i made to the theme was in the .css file for a couple of font colors.
The volunteer template plugin files have not been adjusted. Although, I did delete the plugin and reinstalled it once.
thank you,
Lori
Thanks for the details Lori. It appears the Twenty Fourteen theme doesn’t work well with the plugin out of the box. This is something we plan to look into in the next few weeks, but it is worth noting that the plugin files are templated.
In order to adjust the single volunteer opportunity template you can copy the plugin file at templates/opp-single.php into your current theme’s folder within another folder called “wivm” and adjust it as needed.
Let me know if you need some more direction on that front and we’ll do our best to help out.
Have a good one.
Jonathan
Lori, we just updated the plugin so it should work much better with the Twenty Fourteen theme.
Please update the plugin on your website and let us know how it works for you.
Jonathan
Since we haven’t heard back we’ll go ahead and mark this as resolved. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Wonderful, thank you so much Jonathan! Sorry, I am just now picking this project back up after being on hold for a bit. Your help with this is SO appreciated, and yes this has definitely been resolved now.
thank you, thank you!
Lori
That’s great to hear Lori. Thanks for working through everything with us.
Since the plugin is extremely new it would be wonderful if you could provide an honest review at https://wordpress.org/support/view/plugin-reviews/wired-impact-volunteer-management.
Enjoy the week and the holiday!
