To be honest, once all of your posts are “indexed” the related posts really shouldn’t affect the speed. May I ask just how many posts do you have?

11,000 records in wp_posts but mosts are photos articles around 1300
Hmmm, quite a lot but still – once the indexing is finished, there should be no more issues with the loading of the site. Would you be so kind and let me know which other plugins you have installed?
