We are using PMP to sell recurring memberships in our organization, which gives access to our main bbpress forum. The Board of Directors would like to have a private bbpress forum for Board stuff.
I know I don’t want to just make a new Board Member level and bump those folks up, since that will cancel their recurring membership payments, and members can currently only have one membership level. The Board members will change over time, so this needs to be something that can be done simply in the dashboard, and then undone as they go off the Board.
I thought perhaps using Justin Tadlock’s Membership alongside PMP, giving the Board forum no membership requirement, but setting the Content Permissions to be a newly created Role for “Board Member” might work, but it seems like there is a conflict.
What would be the best way to make a private forum, but one that isn’t tied to membership and will work alongside PMP?
