    The site logo upload is available after activating the Jetpack plugin. No particular module is needed, activation is enough.

    I have activated the Jetpack plugin but I am still not getting a site logo option when I go to customize. It is asking me to connect jetpack to my wordpress.com account but I am self-hosted and am on wordpress.org. Does that make a difference when using Jetpack and additional options? Thanks!!

    Yes, once Jetpack is enabled, connect it to a WordPress.com account to finish the setup (nothing else after that), and then you’ll see the Logo option added in Customize.
