WordPress password recovery

In order for Jetpack to work on an externally hosted site I created a WordPress account and connected it
Everything worked fine but now I realise that I have forgotten the password.
I still know the username and the related email address but the standard password recovery option doesn’t work
Is there a way of recovering the password via Jetpack
Note that the username isn’t shown in the site user listing
