Hi Thank you for your feedback, we will surely use them to improve our plugins.
But i would like to give a little comments to your suggestions.
1) Next Gen has it’s our media library and we can not use it, because then we should integrate our plugins. We must use media library because it’s WordPress tool, and wordpress use it for uploading images even into posts and pages. Just imagine, you have uploaded your images in media library and no need to search them in computer again if you would like to use the same image again. So library makes your work easy.
2) We can not make it close automatically because when you toggle down it brings description text and additional images, and you can not guess when your client will end up reading and watching the content.
3) Couldn’t understand this
4) you can reorder projects with drag&drop function, but you can not reorder the additional images. When you hover on then you will see a little pencil that allow you to change it. But good suggestion, we will make updates on it.
5) you can change the element size of the images. and make them look like portrate or landscape)
Thank you for your quick response and look forward to #4 being implemented.
In response to your answers for:
#1-I understand not getting files from NextGen, But perhaps you could allow users to get files off their computer using media. Meaning let a user get the file and load it into Portfolio by using media in the background. That way when needed again it will already be in media. I have other plugins that do this.
2-Let me clarify. If one is toggled down and I toggle down a second it can be assumed I have already read the first one. At lease allow the option for this function in admin so it can be turned on or off. The reason for this is to allow a cleaner look. Right now after opening a few it makes it harder find one of the earlier ones because they are all opened.
3-What I’m trying to say is that there is no need for the small thumbnail. I know I can have the thumbnail not show by clicking the thumbnail box but I would like the primary image to be clickable and open up the image just like what happens when a thumbnail is clicked on.
5-Yes I can change the element size but it effects all the images. I want to be able to mix and match portrait and landscape images in the same portfolio. And to have them fit together like a masonry style gallery. This would really be nice to have.
Again, I want to thank you for the hard work already done on this plugin. Your consideration is appreciated.
Thank you,
Chip
1) So yes, the Media Library made by WordPress collects all your uploaded images, in it, no matter you have uploaded it on a single site or in our gallery. it keeps all files.
2) i understand, if you wish you can contact info@huge-it.com and make request on that we will individually modify the plugin for you
3) On our next updates we made so the main image(the biggest one) will be clickable and no need to have the second thumbnail for it, I guess this is what you mean
5)Yes you are right, it affects on all images, that’s why the options are called “general” If you have ladscape and portrate images and want to mix them in one gallery i would suggest you tr our Lightbox gallery view
