Hi there,
Thanks for getting in touch.
Could you tell me what host your on? Sounds like your host server may not be allowing loopback connections which could cause this problem.
Cheers!
Owain
Hi Owain,
As I mentioned above, the host is Heart Internet and they do not allow loopbacks.
I saw in another thread that you were aware of the issue, so I was sondering if there was any fix yet?
Thanks
Hi Debbie,
Sorry for the delay.
The current version of BackUpWordPress is still incompatible with Heart Internet for manual backups. We’re looking at possible solutions.
It’s possible to get scheduled backups working however. For this you’ll need to create a cron job from your HT panel to hit the wp-cron.php.
We have a basic guide here: https://bwp.hmn.md/support-center/backupwordpress-faqs/#heart-internet but if you contact Heart Internet they maybe able to help you further.
Cheers!
Owain
Hi Owain,
I have setup the cron and scheduled backups are working fine, it’s just the manual backups that don’t work 🙁
If you need any guinea pigs to test possible solutions for future updates, I would be happy to assist 🙂
Thanks,
Debbie
Ah good to know, glad you have something running at least.
I’ll be sure to reach out to you if we have a beta version of the plugin which addresses the issue,
Cheers!
Owain
Hi Owain,
I was just wondering if there was an update on this?
Thanks
Hi Owain,
IS there an update on this?
Thanks
Hi Debayne,
I’m afraid we’ve not resolved the Heart Internet compatibility yet.
I’ll follow up with this at the next BackUpWordPress meeting 🙂
Cheers!
Owain
Hi Owain,
Just checking if there had been any update on this?
Thanks
Not sure why this has been marked as resolved as its still an issue?
Are you unable to use the plugin at all or are you still just limited to scheduled backups only?
Thanks,
Kat
It’s just manual backups, scheduled backups work fine.
It was all working well until after v3.2.7 then it broke.
Okay … but your scheduled backups still work? even after that update?
