Adding option for changing all posts of specific template

I am working on rebuilding a site for a client that has just over 900 pages that use various templates. I am using custom post types and would like to bulk change all pages that use a specific template such as Staff to the new custom post type Staff.

Does that seem reasonable to add into the next version?
