Hi,
I’d love to add some opacity to the photo, but I can’t find the css to do that. I tried #fsb_image and that didn’t work.

That won’t work, sorry. The background image has to be set by the plugin.

If you’re going to use custom CSS like that, there’s really no reason to use this plugin.
