Images not loading

Recently migrated to a self-hosted blog from WordPress.com. Clean install, latest WordPress version. I imported from the previous site, but my images are not appearing, only the header image. Everything else works fine. Only showing file names of images.

Have tried to re-import; re-insert media; permanently delete media, upload and insert; switched to Twenty-Fifteen theme; no change. I even published a test post with new content and the new image still didn’t appear.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
