Inconsistent comment count

    I’ve updated the plugin to 2.3.1 and noticed an incorrect comment count. It looks like the interface now adds its own comment count inside the iframe. When I use the new SDK interface and tick ‘Show Comment Count’, it displays 2 sets of comment counts. See the image

    The first comment shows the total number of comments including the replies to each comment. The second one is within the iframe and it only includes the comments and not the replies.

    In order to avoid this, I have used the old SDK. This only shows the first set of comment count, which seems more accurate.

    Is there a way to get this resolved? Thanks.

    In the new SDK, the newer (second) comment count is embedded into the comment box itself. I would advise you remove the first comment count (an option in the FB Comment Settings) or use the old SDK.
